Denver’s inaugural Comic Con this June just got a whole lot more undead. This week it was announced that “The Walking Dead” TV stars Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, and Chandler Riggs will be making an appearance at the Mile High City’s first ever Comic Con.
As a city obsessed with the undead (see the annual Denver Zombie Crawl, which drew in a record-breaking 10,000 Colorado zombies), Denver is prepared to welcome the actors with open arms. Yeun, Cohan, and Riggs will be there to sign autographs, answer questions, and meet the fans. Fair warning though: We hear they’ve been sworn to secrecy about season three of “The Walking Dead.”
“The Walking Dead” just wrapped up its second, mild-blowing season with a finale that has kept fans talking ever since.
On the show, Cohan plays the fiercely direct tomboy Maggie Greene, oldest daughter of farm patriarch Hershel Greene. Yeun plays Glenn, aka “our go-into-town guy,” aka “walker bait,” aka the nerdy-yet-surprisingly-tough zombie survival strategist of the group. Maggie and Glenn are love interests, bringing new meaning to the idea of dating someone if they were “literally the last person on Earth.”
Riggs––at 10 years of age, the youngest member of the cast––plays Carl Grimes, son of Rick and Lori Grimes, who is learning how to grow up in the zombie apocalypse and becoming a veritable bad-ass himself.
Yeun, Cohan, and Riggs were be joining an army of other pop culture icons, including Kristin Bauer of “True Blood,” Wil Wheaton of “Star Trek” and everything, Jasika Nicole of “Fringe,” and Michael Uslan, producer of “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Join the stars of “The Walking Dead” this June at the first ever Denver Comic-Con.
