‘The Walking Dead’ returns to San Diego Comic-Con this year

Surprising no one, the cast and crew of AMC‘s “The Walking Dead” are returning to San Diego Comic-Con this year to sign autographs, answer questions, and give fans a much-anticipated sneak peek at season three of the Little Zombie Show That Could.

Based on Robert Kirkman’s black and white comic books, “The Walking Dead” has been making waves since it smashed ratings records with its premiere two years ago. It’s only fitting that the beloved and successful comic-book-to-TV franchise should make a yearly appearance at the country’s largest comic book convention and nerd Mecca.

This year, the cast and crew of “The Walking Dead” will participate in hour-long panels moderated by “Talking Dead” host Chris Hardwick. The panelists will discuss what viewers can expect from the third season, including new characters, a new set, and new dangers.

Participating in the TWD panel will be Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), Sarah Wayne Callies (Lori Grimes), Laurie Holden (Andrea), Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), Steven Yeun (Glenn), Lauren Cohan (Maggie Greene), Danai Gurira (Michonne), David Morrissey (the Governor), executive producer and showrunner Glen Mazzara, executive producer Gale Anne Hurd, executive producer and comic book creator Robert Kirkman, and co-executive producer Greg Nicotero.

The cast will be signing autographs on Friday, July 13th at 10:45 a.m. in booth #3721 of the exhibit hall, and the panel will take place the same day at 1:25 p.m. in Hall H. If you’re attending Comic-Con this year, you can file this one under “things not to miss.”
