“The Walking Dead” addicts won’t have to wait until the season three premiere on October 14th to get more stories from within the zombie apocalypse. AMC recently announced that they are releasing another series of “The Walking Dead” webisodes on October 1st, produced by Greg Nicotero.
Through four five-minute webisodes, we will witness the story of a new group of characters in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. The webseries is titled “Cold Storage” and stars Daniel Roebuck of “Lost” and Josh Stewart. According to AMC:
Cold Storage tells the story of a young man, Chase (played by Josh Stewart), trying to reach his sister in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. He finds temporary shelter in a storage facility run by a former employee named B.J. (Roebuck); however, things are not what they appear.
Co-executive Producer and special effects makeup designer Greg Nicotero will produce the webisodes, much like he did with last season’s webisode series, “Everything Dies,” which told the story of the Bicycle Girl, TWD’s most iconic walker. Nicotero himself won a WGA award for Outstanding Achievement in Writing Derivative New Media for those webisodes.
Fans will get to watch “Cold Storage” online at AMCTV.com starting October 1st. Tune in to get a glimpse of what the end of the world is like for people outside of Rick Grimes’s band of survivors.
