After a report that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 would start filming September 16th in Atlanta and Boston, a casting call for new characters in the movie has hit the web.
According to Acting Auditions, Color Force and C4 Productions are now officially in pre-production on The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 along with Larger Than Life Productions. Acting Auditions reports that the movie will be filmed back-to-back with Mockingjay: Part 2, and production will run from September 16th through May 20, 2014 in both Atlanta and Boston (confirming previous reports). The lengthy, eight month time frame seems like further proof that both Mockingjay movies will be filmed either back-to-back, or at the same time.
Acting Auditions has more information on casting for principal roles in Los Angeles, and additional casting in both Atlanta and Boston, including extras and smaller roles.
Catching Fire director Francis Lawrence will return to lead both Mockingjay movies. So far, Lionsgate has been quiet on any other official news regarding Mockingjay, but actress Rebel Wilson recently revealed that she was in talks for a role in one of the movies.
