Lawrence addressed the film’s status Thursday while speaking at CinemaCon.
Catching Fire officially wrapped filming in December, but cast and crew returned to Hawaii in February and March for additional filming — and since then, there have been reports of even more filming on the movie. Post-production audio was even recorded as recently as last weekend in Atlanta.
However, Lawrence says there is no more filming taking place and it’s time to finish editing.
The first trailer for the movie was finally unveiled last weekend at the MTV Movie Awards, and it’s just been revealed that the Catching Fire trailer will also be shown ahead of Iron Man 3 when it opens in theaters next month.
Once he’s done editing Catching Fire, Lawrence has more work ahead of him. He’s signed on to direct both Mockingjay movies, which are reported to start filming in September.
