Subway Restaurants and Lionsgate have announced a new partnership to promote The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The partnership will also help support Feeding America, a nonprofit that includes over 200 food banks across the U.S.
Subway will be the exclusive restaurant promotional partner for the Catching Fire film. According to a press release, a special product line will feature “thematic ties to the film, along with specially marked packaging with codes encouraging customers to engage online for their chance to win prizes.”
Standees of Catching Fire characters will also be featured in Subway restaurants for fans to snap photos with. They will be encouraged to share their photos on social media for other chances to win.
“Being able to deliver exclusive Catching Fire experiences to our Subway fans is something that Hunger Games enthusiasts can’t find anywhere else,” said Michelle Cordial, director of marketing development for Subway.
“Beyond providing fans with unique film experiences, what makes this promotion truly special to the studio is our ability to work with Subway to support Feeding America and help provide to those in need,” added Paula Kupfer, vice president of promotions and consumer products for Lionsgate.
Lionsgate previously announced a partnership with CoverGirl cosmetics for Catching Fire. The movie will be released in theaters nationwide on November 22nd.
