NYCC 2013: ‘The Trial of Jean Grey’ begins in January

During the ‘Amazing X-Men and the Marvel Universe’ panel on Friday morning, it was revealed that the teasers ‘Trial’ and ‘Judgment’ stood for the upcoming crossover between ‘All New X-Men’ and ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’ The story arc will be called ‘The Trial of Jean Grey’ and will see the First Class team — in new uniforms — face the threats of the universe.

However, there are some beings who are not happy knowing a host for the Phoenix Force is around. The Shi-ar empire will feature prominently in the ‘trial’ as the Guardians will see the Earth being intruded — a no-no in their book.

“This is the first time we’re saying, the original X-Men will be sticking around after Battle of the Atom, but I can’t tell you how.” said editor Nick Lowe.

The crossover will be a six-issue story, three issues of each book contributing to the arc.

So what do you think of the idea of the First Class team sticking around after ‘Battle of the Atom’?
