Static isn’t the compromising describer for this year’s movie nominee listing for the People’s Choice Awards.
For Channing Tatum the charge so energetic crackling with Marvel movie magic and star power doesn’t replicate down the categories with his superhero affiliation, even though his name does standouts several times, and DC Entertainment’s movies, to their possible alarm, cull down to only one nomination.
Tatum has his own proclaiming bid for a close-to-home superhero role, and maybe the execs at Marvel might get a better picture of him for soon developing mutant movies when his inclusion in multiple dramatic or action actor nominations pits him contending alongside the several salient inclusions belonging to Hugh Jackman, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr.
Like “Man of Steel”, the “White House Down” actor won’t count his movie from last summer’s line-up inside 2014s awards running. Still the nominations for Favorite Movie Actor and Favorite Action Movie Star echoes of “White House Down”, albeit despite his additional Favorite Drama Actor.
The largesse in banner, brand and movies bursting phenom trends erupts further into categories that open the intensity of audiences’ want on superhero choices namely Marvel.
Scarlett Johansson is the one Marvel poster-hero actress that made a standout crossover into the comedy facet of films within the People’s Choice Awards with a Favorite Comedic Movie Actress nomination. Johansson will vie for the award with an actress whose movie was an Autumn box-office booster.
“Gravity” wasn’t the nomination for Bullock in comedy. She and her co-star Melissa McCarthy are up for the same comedic nomination for the Favorite Comedy Movie nominee “The Heat”. With the Favorite Comedic Movie Actress having a double-down gambit with both actresses, they’ll be able to split their effort’s regards equally with a spot in the Favorite Movie Duo.
Bullock shares a separate place in that same category with her “Gravity” co-star George Clooney, who is up for a Favorite Movie Actor award.
Matter of fact Bullock owns nominations in-step with what continues as the Marvel movie accoladers.
With Emma Stone, a back a ways star of “Amazing Spider-Man”, nominated in Favorite Dramatic Movie Actress. Halle Berry, repriser for the mutant Storm in 2014-bound “X-Men: Days of Future Past”, is also up for that nomination. Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. are nominees for Favorite Movie Duo.
All that brings it around to Marvel’s string of successful movie recognition and fandom.
And the singular category DC Entertainment accrues. “Red 2” garners a nomination for Favorite Thriller Movie alongside “White House Down”.
And brings full circle a People’s Choice nominations rife with tidbit takes, serial preludes and powerhouse whole pictures.
