Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Liam Hemsworth were among the stars hitting the red carpet in London on Monday for the world premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Co-stars Sam Claflin, Willow Shields, Jena Malone, Donald Sutherland, and Elizabeth Banks — to name a few — also joined them on the rainy red carpet in Leicester Square, as did director Francis Lawrence. Lionsgate made the bold move to hold the world premiere of Catching Fire overseas, kicking off a series of global premieres. Next week, Los Angeles will play host to the U.S. premiere of Catching Fire, where hundreds of fans are expected to camp out for a glimpse of the festivities — and the chance to see the film along with the stars. Catching Fire is the second film in the blockbuster Hunger Games franchise. Two more films will be released consecutively in 2014 and 2015, the two-part Mockingjay finale. Filming has already begun on the Mockingjay films, although cast and crew have taken a break to promote the release of Catching Fire.
