Readers Vote: Nominate your favorite movie of 2013

As 2013 comes to a close, we ask readers to nominate the best movie of 2013. Simply go to the comment box and put in the title of the movie that you think was the best of 2013, then put a reason and you may be chosen to be featured in the follow up article titled, ” The Best of 2013″

The voting is open until Jan. 1 at midnight CST and the announcement will follow the next week.

Would your favorite possibly be “The Conjuring”, “The Hangover 3”, or “The Great Gatsby”?

In 2013, it looks as if fantasy and action were the winners in the box office category. Whether it was comic book based movies such as “Thor: The Dark World”, ” The Wolverine” or “Iron Man 3“, it appears that many people are using movies to connect with their famous comic book heroes especially those from the Marvel Universe.

Other box office hits include movies based on books. “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” broke the top opening weekend sales of all movies in 2013 with $158,074,286 opening and $391,124,000 overall. And “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” made approximately $190,304,000.
