Julianne Moore cast as Alma Coin in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ movies
The rumors were true — Julianne Moore has officially been cast in the role of Alma Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Parts 1 and 2.
Rumors of Moore’s involvement in the two-part Hunger Games finale first surfaced in June. On Friday, Lionsgate confirmed the news.
Moore’s casting is easily the biggest (and most-anticipated) for the final Hunger Games films, which are currently in pre-production and begin filming later this month. Fans have debated for months who could portray the role of Coin, the cold and calculating leader of the resistance.
Moore is the fourth official casting announcement for Mockingjay. Previously announced new cast members include Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer, along with Evan Ross and Stef Dawson.
